Our Reading Pyjama Party

On Wednesday night ( 9th May ) lots of Room 1 and 2 kids came to school in pyjamas with their Mum or Dad.
The children got two big surprises...
Mrs Cornelius and Mrs Smith were in their night clothes ( how very weird! ) and
there were four teepees set up in Room 2!!

There heaps of new books to look at too. Everyone had a good time reading or being read to
Mrs Cornelius even got out a torch and read in the dark, which was really good fun ( and a little bit scary😳)

                                                

Mrs Smith grabbed the opportunity to inform the parents about how children learn to read and had some tips to help with reading at home. See the 'Stuck on a Word' chart and the 'Tell or Ask Questions' Sheet in your child's Homework book.

 We ended our Reading PJ Party with yummy Milo and bikkies before heading home to bed.
