Junior School Cross Country

Here are our thoughts about the Cross Country yesterday.

I loved the race yesterday... because it was fabulous! I felt super. It was a super fantastic race... I saw other races.What one of them came first place? Second we had an ice block it was nice and cold. It was white. Then we walked back to class and had lunch.Then went home and then played with my brother. We played hide and seek and other games.                        By Declan

On Wednesday my room had the Cross Country. I came 14th in the Cross Country. We had to run across the huge field. Some year 6 and 7 boys and girls helped us. I almost threw up and I fell over but got back up.               By Oakley

The 10th of September on Wednesday was our Cross Country race. I love Cross Country because it is a fun race. I came 3rd place. After the Cross Country Room 1 got flavoured ice blocks. They were fantastic.                       By Charlie May

On Wednesday we had a Cross Country race. It was very, very fun. I came 12th. My Mum was watching. We had some orange drink. I was puffing a lot. After the running we had a yummy ice block because it was a hot day ... Yay!                 By Jake

On Wednesday it was the Cross Country race. We had to wear running clothes that were suitable. Kenzie and I just about tied. I felt proud of myself. I came second. We got lemonade ice blocks and it was fantastic! We had to go around the enormous field. I was struggling about all the cheering audience. I nearly came first place then Kenzie sprinted and I jogged. Then Mrs Smith wrote numbers on our hand with pitch black Vivid. I thought next time I will have fun and persevere. Then we stomped to the classroom in a straight line to the classroom and Mrs Smith read us a Dr Seuss book and we got picked up.               By Medow Rose

On Wednesday we did a Cross Country race. We ran around the field to the gate, run around the green growing grassy field. I came thirty two and we had an ice block. They were lemonade ice blocks. They were yummy. My Nan was cheering for me.                    By T.J.

On Wednesday we had a Cross Country race. We rushed over and we were a bit late. Then it was the Year Two girls. Medow and I just about tied at the last bit of the track. I ran as fast as I can and then I won and we got a lemonade ice block. It was amazing. My Mum was cheering for me. Mrs Cornelius had two wooden brown blocks and she banged!!! it to say On Your Marks Get Set GO!!! and then I was in the lead. We had to go around the rugby post, around the trees, around the flash bright yellow flag and straight ahead on the stony ground and I still won.            By Kenzie

On Wednesday it was the Cross Country race. We ran on the green grass. I came 11th I almost caught up with Kaiah. She came 10th. We all had a white ice block . Kenzie came first. They were yum. I felt happy because I love Cross Country races. My leg was very tired!         By Korah

On Wednesday it was Cross Country. I tied with Lennix. I felt nervous. I saw a huge group of adults. You had to wear sports clothes. We had to run around the green grassy field down to the gate, around Mrs Northe. I was coming 7 then 4, 2, Carter was in the lead. When we went around the blue rugby post. We had a white lemonade cold icy ice block. Yum yum! I forgot to tell you I had an injury. The injury was I pulled a muscle.                      By Tadhg

On a glorious, sunny day our class went running on a watery, breezy, grassy, huge field. All that was on Wednesday  26/Sept/2018. The whole school went to run, after we got a cold, white, wrapped ice block. We wandered back to the large Room 1. On Wednesday it was the Cross Country race on the wet muddy green grass. We ran fast to the goals that looked like H's then we girls ran around the goals. They were huge goals and I tucked and rolled. I was number 8 and I felt sad then my Mum said Good, Good.                    By Te Arahia

I was doing amazing running. I fell off a gleaming shiny wet grass. Then I got back up on the gleaming shiny wet grass and I ran to the gate two times. I came 13th. I got a lemonade ice block. How was your ice block? There were heaps of race parents. Tadhg and Lennix won.
